East Nashville Magnet Middle Library

Limitless Libraries is a city-wide program that allows MNPS students to request items from the Nashville Public Library (NPL) and have them delivered to school. This means you have access to NPL's huge collection of books, DVDs, CDs, and more, without an extra trip to a library branch.

It's as simple as:
  1. Search or browse the NPL website, and find an item you want.
  2. Request the item by logging in with your student account (information below).
  3. Pick your item up at the East MS Library.
  4. Return it to the East MS Library when you're done!

Here's your LOG-IN information:
  • Your Library Card Number is your student ID (starts with 190...).
  • You PIN number is the 2-digit month and 2-digit day of your birthday (MMDD). For example, if your birthday is October 12, your PIN number would be 1012. Do not include the year or any slashes.
More important information:
  • The books you receive from the NPL will include a sticker with a due date. Do not remove this sticker! You MUST return the materials to the East MS Library by the date listed. You can also renew materials online as long as no one has placed a hold on your item.
  • You CANNOT request R-rated materials.
  • You don't need a separate library card to check out items from an NPL branch; you can just use your Student ID number!

PLEASE REMEMBER: If you do not return items you've checked out from Limitless Libraries, your account WILL be charged. If you have over $20 in Limitless Libraries/NPL fines, you will NOT be able to request items through Limitless Libraries OR check out books at a public library branch using your student ID.
As a full-time, certificated teacher, you are entitled to an Educator account with Limitless Libraries!

What does this mean?
  • You can check out up to 100 items from the Nashville Public Library.
  • Those materials will be delivered to you AT SCHOOL.
  • You can also RETURN them to the library at school.
  • Check-out periods range from 7 days to 6 weeks!

Sure books are great, but did you know you could also check out these things for your classroom??
  • DVDs
  • CDs
  • Audiobooks (CD and Playaway)
  • Book Club kits, (10 copies of the same book + discussion questions; click here for the list)
  • Curriculum kits (a variety of resources on a particular topic; click here for the list)

Now, HOW TO GET STARTED:
  • Visit (and bookmark!) library.nashville.org
  • Search for a particular title/author/subject/etc
  • When you find an item you want, click the blue PLACE HOLD button next to the media type you are requesting (ie: book, audiobook, Large Print, etc.)
  • Login with your credentials
    • Your educator account number ("library barcode") is your 6-digit employee number.
    • Your default pin for the 2019-2020 school year is 2019.
  •  Make sure the delivery location is correct (East Nashville Magnet Middle School).

Other important notes:
  • You may only check out one Book Club in a Bag at a time.
  • You may only check out one Curriculum Kit at a time.
  • You may not request multiple copies of the same title of a book. (NPL does not provide classroom sets.)
  • No R-rated materials may be borrowed on this card.
  • Courtesy reminders will be sent via email 2 days before due date.
  • Overdue notices will be sent via email.
  • Your account will be subject to fines. Lost and damaged materials must be paid for or replaced in accordance with NPL policy.
  • NPL has the right to not lend material due to popularity, condition, size, etc. or may restrict borrowed items to Library Use Only.
