20 Book Challenge

What is the 20 Book Challenge? It's East Middle's year-long reading program for the 2017-2018 school year.

How does it work? There are 20 categories on the 20 Book Challenge list. Your job is to read a book for each category throughout the school year.

What do I need to do? Choose a category and then find a book that fits the description. (Ask in the Library for suggestions!) Once you finish the book, be sure you fill out the online form to receive credit for your reading.

Where can I fill out the form? Click on this link: 20 Book Challenge Response Form

How can I track of my progress? Keep a copy of the checklist in your binder to mark what you've read, and Ms. Edgens will also keep track in the Library.

Are there any prizes involved? Yes! There will be a weekly drawing for goodies from all entries received that week. The winner, chosen at random, will be announced during each Monday morning's announcements. At the end of each quarter, there will also be an incentive activity for students who are on track to completing their 20 books. For example, at the end of the 1st quarter, you'll need to have read at least 5 books to qualify for the activity; at the end of the 2nd quarter, you'll need to have read at least 10 books; and so on. Students who complete the 20 Book Challenge by the end of the year will be eligible for a big celebration in May, as well as inclusion in the Reading Hall of Fame!

I'm ready! But what are the categories?? Check below!
