About Us

Ms. Edgens | Library Media Specialist

Ms. Edgens is thrilled to be a part of the East community and be back in her hometown of Nashville after living in New York City for the past nine years. She's an alum of Nashville's MLK Magnet and attended New York University, earning her B.S. in Media, Culture, and Communication. She spent 4+ years on the marketing team of a small children's educational publisher while attending graduate school part-time to eventually earn her Masters in Library Science from Queens College. After nine years in New York, she convinced her New York-born husband to move South to warmer climates. Outside of school, Ms. Edgens enjoys renovating and decorating her new house, hiking, traveling, reading (obviously!), watching Netflix, and hosting epic dance parties.
